2 MIN READ

Plan Managers understand the challenges of delivering reliable services and supporting participants. Their experience should help inform the future of the sector.

Brevity is establishing the Plan Management Reform Working Group to bring customers together, discuss operational challenges and develop practical recommendations.

The group will help inform a collective industry response to plan management reforms. Participation is open to all Brevity customers, with no cost to join.

Why join the Plan Management Reform Working Group?

The working group will give Plan Managers opportunities to share their experiences and discuss the potential impact of reforms.

Together, participants will explore compliance, reporting, service quality, software requirements and participant outcomes.

By bringing these insights together, we aim to ensure the needs of Plan Managers and the people they support are clearly represented.

Who should participate?

We welcome contributions from people across your organisation, including:

  • Plan management business owners, directors and executives.
  • Operations and compliance managers.
  • Finance and participant services teams.
  • Technology leaders and industry subject matter experts.

Whether your organisation supports 50 participants or 5,000, your perspective matters. Different roles and organisational sizes bring valuable insights into what the sector needs.

Workshops and discussions on plan management reform

Our proposed engagement program includes roundtable discussions, surveys and three focused workshops.

Defining success

This workshop will explore participant outcomes, service quality expectations and future industry requirements.

Participants can share their views on what successful plan management should deliver.

Operational and software requirements

The second workshop will focus on the processes and tools organisations need to support their services.

Discussions will cover compliance, reporting obligations, software expectations and fraud prevention measures.

Final recommendations

The final workshop will consider transition requirements, panel eligibility and priority recommendations for the sector.

It will help bring earlier discussions together into practical recommendations.

Workshop dates and participation details will be shared once confirmed.

Flexible ways to contribute

You don’t need to attend every workshop to have your say.

Through surveys and the Brevity Plan Management Reform Hub, you’ll be able to:

  • Submit feedback and recommendations.
  • Raise operational concerns.
  • Comment on ideas shared by other participants.
  • Help prioritise key themes.
  • Access consultation materials, updates and findings.

The hub will also provide meeting notes and workshop recordings. This allows you to follow discussions and contribute when it suits your availability.

How will the working group be supported?

Brevity will invite representatives from our Customer Advisory Board to act as Working Group Moderators.

They will guide constructive discussions, identify common themes and ensure participants have an opportunity to contribute.

Brevity will support coordination and help capture feedback fairly and accurately.

The findings will help inform:

  • An industry findings report.
  • A collective position paper.
  • A consolidated consultation response.
  • Recommendations to the NDIA.

Participating members will receive access to the findings and final deliverables.

How will customer feedback be handled?

Individual responses will remain confidential.

Reporting will use aggregated and anonymised feedback unless participants agree otherwise. Full participation terms will be shared before activities begin.

Express your interest in the Plan Management Reform Working Group

Participation is open to all Brevity customers, with no cost to join.

If you’d like to contribute, contact the Brevity team to express your interest. We’ll share full program details and participation terms before activities begin.
